Great News: South Downs National Park Announced

This Morning, Hilary Benn, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs announced that the South Downs will be designated as a National Park. You can see a map that shows the area that will become a National Park on the DEFRA website.

This is fantastic news for everyone, but especially for all those who have campaigned so hard and for so long to protect the South Downs for future generations to enjoy. Chris Todd has led a superb campaign and Brighton Pavilion Labour Party enthusiastically supported it by distributing thousands of postcards to shops, cafes and people's homes.
